An elegant and luxurious atmosphere has been created which nonetheless feeds into the roots of the building’s ancient farming origins. The rooms conserve elements of their original function but at the same time offer all the modern comforts and amenities including en suite bathrooms with walk-in rain showers, autonomous air conditioning and heating systems, free WiFi, satellite television, mini bars, hair dryers and robes and flip flops for use in the spa facilities.
La Stalla
La Stalla (The Stable) was originally where the cows were kept and where a horse named Homer was stabled. It is a large, comfortable double-bedded room in which the luminous, white decor fits ingeniously with original, antique features such as the wood feeding trough, now serving to enclose the wardrobe area, and the stone drinking trough, newly transformed into a stylish bathroom sink. The spacious bathroom boasts a double shower and freestanding bath.
La Quercia
Il vecchio granaio ospita La Quercia (The Oak Tree), is a luminous, double-bedded loft space overlooking the B&B’s beautiful lawns and mosaic butterfly fountain designed by Tonino Guerra. This room was created from the original barn area and takes its name from the centuries-old oak which stands majestically in the garden. The ceiling conserves the barn’s ancient wooden beams and is fitted with a sloping rooflight, providing the room with even more natural light.
Il Cortile
Il Cortile (The Courtyard) is a two-room, double-bedded suite at the front of the B&B. Originally, this area was used as a shelter to protect small trees and plants from the freezing winter cold. Terracotta tile flooring throughout adds rustic beauty to these newly-created rooms, while an antique water trough once more transformed into a unique bathroom sink helps take guests back to the simplicity of a past era. The suite opens onto a small, private garden with table and chairs, accessible through the sliding glass doors gracing both the bathroom and bedroom.
